Julie is Birmingham City University’s Policy and Strategy Advisor, and part of the Planning and Performance Department. Julie advises the Vice Chancellor’s Office on higher education policy developments, provides recommendations to support the development of strategy, and supports policy implementation and associated strategic change initiatives across the university.

Before joining Birmingham City University, Julie worked for over 15 years as an education public policy analyst in a consultancy environment undertaking programme evaluations on behalf of a range of government clients (such as OfS, HEFCE/W, DfE) and national bodies (such as OFFA, Ofqual, QAA, UKCES, the Big Lottery Fund). A key interest in education and social mobility, Julie was part of the OfS evaluation team for their £7.5 million Catalyst Fund call: Addressing Barriers to Student Success.
