Harvey
Helen joined the University of Derby in 2006 and has had various roles within the Executive team. In 2016 she became the Senior Executive Officer
to the Vice-Chancellor and in October 2019 moved to ‘Head of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office’, with more emphasis on horizon scanning for the Executive
team and more engagement with externals on behalf of the VC. Helen works directly with the VC, providing high-level and broad-ranging advice and support on strategic
and operational issues.
Helen is responsible for leading the Vice-Chancellor’s Office support team, and engages directly with a wide range of senior stakeholders both nationally and
internationally.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Office plays a key role in the biannual Award Ceremonies and Helen leads all aspects of the VCO and Governor’s involvement therein.
Helen also provides support and advice to the University's Chancellor.
