Bickford Smith
Joining from the Department for Education, where he was Senior Policy Advisor to the Education Secretary, Will joined the University of Exeter in November 2022 as
Senior Policy Advisor, supporting the Vice-Chancellor to deliver the University’s 2030 Strategy amidst changes to higher education policy.
Will graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BA (Hons) in Politics and holds a Master’s in Education Policy from King’s College London. He is also
a qualified teacher, having trained to teach through Teach First (becoming a Teach First trustee in autumn 2022).
