Simon
Ambrose

Simon is Executive Officer to the Vice-Principal (Arts) at the University of Glasgow and joined the university in February 2020, having previously worked as Executive Officer and Chief of Staff in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office at De Montfort University (DMU).

At Glasgow, Simon is responsible for providing executive and strategic support to the Vice-Principal and for overseeing executive governance and central administration in the College of Arts.

He began his career in higher education at the University of Leicester, working as a personal assistant in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, before holding a number of executive and governance support and management roles at DMU in Leicester and Bedford.

Simon graduated in Law and European Study (French) from the University of Exeter and was awarded an executive MBA from DMU in 2008.
