Jennifer
Summerton
Jen is Executive Director for the Higher Education Strategic Planners Association (HESPA). Her role includes providing a forum
for strategy and planning professionals to network, discuss, improve and influence. Jen has a focus on the career development
of her members and oversees HESPA’s training schedule ensuring that, even within a highly diverse membership, key needs are met.
Advocacy and sector-wide engagement is a huge part of Jen’s role and she strives to present a compelling and unified voice for
members, while recognising their contrasting needs and ideas..
Prior to HESPA, Jen worked in various marketing, communications and international roles at the Universities of Leicester and Nottingham.
Before joining the HE sector, she worked as a journalist and PR consultant in London and Islamabad.
