Claire joined the University of Huddersfield in 2014 as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (International). In 2018 Claire became Executive Office Manager providing executive support to the Vice-Chancellor and leading the Executive support team. Claire works directly with the VC, providing high-level and broad-ranging support, including undertaking special projects on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, interacting with a wide range of senior individuals within and outside the University and working closely with the wider Executive team.

Claire is responsible for leading the Vice-Chancellor’s Office support team, and engages directly with a wide range of senior stakeholders both nationally and internationally.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Office plays a key role in the biannual Award Ceremonies and Claire leads all aspects of the VCO and Chancellor’s involvement therein. Claire also provides support and advice to the University’s Chancellor.

Claire reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bob Cryan, supporting him in delivering his responsibilities as the chief executive of the University.

Prior to joining the University of Huddersfield Claire worked in the private sector provided high level executive support to a Chief Executive and Chief Financial officer.
