Rachel
Helsby
Rachel has worked at the University of Reading since 2014 and was appointed Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Officer in August 2015,
having previously worked as Staff Engagement Manager.
She provides high-level and broad ranging advice and support to the Vice-Chancellor on strategic and operational issues, and
undertakes special projects on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
Before joining the University of Reading, Rachel worked in a variety of policy, communications and management roles at the CBI,
RAC and the Environment Agency. Rachel graduated with first class honours in European Community Studies (French and Spanish)
from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff and also has a Master’s in public policy.
