Sian joined the University of South Wales in November 2018 as Executive Officer to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Julie Lydon OBE, supporting her in all aspects of her work. This includes providing high-level administrative support, interacting with a wide range of senior individuals within and outside the University and working closely with the wider Executive team.

In addition, Sian acts as Secretary to the University Executive and the Vice Chancellor Executive Board co-ordinating the work of these two Boards. She also manages the Executive Support Team.

Prior to joining the University of South Wales, Sian held a number of roles within the senior civil service including Deputy Director, Policy at the Wales Office; Secretary to the Commission on Further Devolution for Wales and latterly as Principal Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Wales. Sian holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Wales.
