Matt is the Public Affairs Manager at the University of Stirling. He joined the University in 2017 to set up its public affairs function, which includes providing strategic advice and support to the Principal and senior management on institutional political engagement, together with expanding the University’s capacity for knowledge exchange within the policymaking arena.

Matt has more than six years’ experience in higher education, and previously worked for a major public affairs and communications consultancy. With an interest in policymaking and devolution, Matt holds an undergraduate degree from Aberystwyth University, and masters degrees from the University of Edinburgh, and Queen’s University Belfast.
