Beth holds the post of Public Affairs and Policy manager within the External Relations Directorate The University of East London. The post scans the higher education policy environment to provide specialist policy research, analysis and advice, supporting the Vice Chancellor and Senior Leadership Team. The role also seeks to develop strong relationships with key figures in the sector and within the local community to build our expanding public affairs division.

Beth joined from St Mary’s University where she was the Policy Advisor within the Vice Chancellor’s Office.

Dr Daniel
South

Daniel is Policy and Public Affairs Officer at University of East London. Working within the External Relations Directorate, Daniel supports with public affairs communications and strategy, and brings his experience in both research and stakeholder management to the role.

He has previously worked in universities as a Module Tutor, Outreach Ambassador, and Employer Engagement Officer, as well with Widening Participation charity IntoUniversity as a Senior Education Worker.

He holds a PhD in English and Related Literature from the University of York, and has had research published with Manchester University Press and Peter Lang.
