Dr Jodie
Anstee
Jodie has been Chief of Staff / Head of Policy and Strategy at UWE Bristol since 2013, providing
strategic support and advice to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve West.
She also leads on Executive governance, the Vice-Chancellor’s communications, and management of the
Executive Support team.
After completing her PhD in Politics and International Relations at the University of Exeter,
where she taught on several undergraduate modules, Jodie joined UWE Bristol in October 2008 as
part of the University’s Planning and Business Intelligence team. Since then she has undertaken
a range of policy and executive support roles in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
Prior to this, Jodie also undertook research and teaching work with Amnesty International
and the Refugee Council.
